Shop Front Scheme Grants are available to businesses in Amble, Alnwick and Rothbury town centres.  Grants may also be available, subject to funding in other areas of the District.  See map details for the areas covered

Shop fronts make a big impact on the appearance and image of a town centre.  High quality shop fronts can make a town feel more welcoming, strengthen its identity and character and even help encourage more people to visit the town.

By working in partnership with local businesses and local development trusts this shop front grant scheme aims to restore the unique and historic heart of our towns for the benefit of local residents, visitors to the area, and ultimately, future generations.

Funding for the scheme is being provided by the Regional Development Agency (ONE North East) through Northumberland Strategic Partnership as part of the Retail Distinctiveness programme and by Alnwick District Council.
